At E’scape Airtours, we offer an exciting and memorable way to tour around the beautiful Eastern Cape. Whether you would like to fly over the Winterberg Mountain Range, track along the picturesque coastline, take a trip out to Woody Cape to see the Alexandria dune field, take a scenic tour into the diverse karoo terrain, or even create your own tour of one of the province’s many sights and landmarks, we are willing and able to cater for all your needs individually.

Airport Pickup & Dropoff

Let E’scape Airtours fly you straight to your preferred destination.

We offer the convenient and exciting option of collecting you from Port Elizabeth Airport and flying you directly to your destination, as well as dropping you off at Port Elizabeth airport to catch your flight home – adding to the already exhilarating experience.

Luggage and Space

The helicopter we operate is the Robinson R44 which can carry up to 3 passengers excluding the pilot. Luggage space is restricted to an under-the-seat luggage compartment, which can easily hold a weekend travel bag per person. For those visiting the Eastern Cape for longer (or those who just can’t travel light) luggage can be arranged to be transported separately.

There is no better view than that of a bird’s eye! For property developers and architects a helicopter charter through E’scape can offer you the advantage of viewing land, a construction site or a building from the air.

Should you need pictures, you may bring your own camera or photographer, or E’scape can provide you with a professional cameraman.

We use the Robinson R44 for our aerial photography. It has an exemplary reliability and safety record as well as being a fast and stable platform to shoot from. By removing the doors it gives a large area available allowing the photographer to shoot a variety of angles.

About Us

E’scape Airtours Charters and Transfers has been in operation since 2003 when owner and pilot Grant Soule recognised the need for a professional and operative means of helicopter transport in the Eastern Cape area. Grant has over 8000 hours of flight time as a pilot in command and is both a Commercial Helicopter Pilot and a Grade Two Instructor – ensuring that our customers are in good, experienced hands.

Grant has ratings on the Robinson RH22, Robinson RH44, Bell 206, MD 500, AS350 Squirrel, hughes 300, Bell 407. Our goal at E’scape is to offer both local residents and tourists a convenient, professional service in one, covering all aspects of the aviation industry.
